MESSAGE FROM THE DEAN – Xavier School Of Human Resource Management
We are proud to take forward a legacy of 27 years of Human Resource Management education that began as a functional specialization in Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar (XIMB). Finding that there was a need for a specialized program in HRM, a full-fledged two-year post graduate program in HRM was launched in 2011. Since 2014, this is offered as the flagship program of the Xavier School of HRM as MBA-HRM. We have a PhD program offering opportunity to engage in research in HRM and OB.

Welcome to the Xavier School Of Human Resource Management!
The context that organizations exist in today is highly turbulent, chaotic and complex. Creating and sustaining high-performance organizations remains a continuing challenge. In this context, the prime differentiator in any firm, its people, creates its competitive advantage. People management skills have become essential for business survival. Thus, today there is a need for HR professionals who have an in-depth knowledge of the functional area of HR as well as an understanding of business and the context. Our curriculum is focused on creating people managers ingrained in the core disciplines of HRM, OB and IR. Additionally courses from across all management functional areas ensure that they have a holistic understanding of business. We believe in developing people managers who uphold the core values of integrity, compassion and respect for others.
XAHR establishes an environment where holistic learning can take place. Our program is designed collaboratively with inputs from industry and academia. Our faculty are world class, competent and committed engaged in extensive research, teaching and consulting. We invite industry stalwarts on a regular basis to interact with the students and share their knowledge and experience. This enables an excellent blend of theory and practice. Students engage in research projects, consulting assignments etc. to further hone their understanding of the subject. There are multiple opportunities and avenues for co-curricular and extra-curricular activities leading to the holistic development of the individual.
The research program of XAHR aims at doing enquiry that tries to push the boundaries of knowledge of theory and practice in HR and OB. We have a well-structured doctoral program that helps students dive deep into their area of research interest. We are fortunate to be part of Xavier University that has management schools offering programs across disciplines cross-functional and cross-disciplinary research is encouraged.
We are committed to quality and excellence in all that we do. We invite you to consider Human Resource Management as a career choice and to join us with your fresh perspective, your passion and your creative energy.
