The minimum requirement for admission to the Program is a three-year Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in any discipline with at least 55% marks in aggregate from a recognised university. Candidates who expect to complete the final part of their degree examinations by June 15, 2017, can also apply. Offers of admission to such candidates, if made, will be provisional and will be automatically cancelled in the event of their failing to complete all the requirements for obtaining the degree before June 15, 2017.
Applicants are required to take any one of the Admission Tests:
a) XAT to be conducted by XLRI, Jamshedpur, on 8 January, 2017, or
b) CAT to be conducted by IIMs on 4 December 2016, or
c) NMAT by GMAC to be conducted during October – December 2016, or
d) GMAT taken in 2015 or 2016 (minimum score for applying 550) or
e) X-GMT to be conducted by Xavier University Bhubaneswar on 29 January 2017.
Applicants opting for XAT/CAT have to follow XAT/CAT advertisements respectively and apply in time. Registering for XAT/CAT/GMAT/NMAT is a prerequisite for applying to XUB, if not opting for X-GMT.
Applicants also have to fill up the online application form separately for XUB programme at: www.xub.edu.in Upon successfully filling the online application form and paying the relevant application fee, the applicant will be intimated by email about the acceptance of the form.
The last date for applying online is December 30, 2016.
It may be noted that besides registering for XAT/CAT/GMAT/NMAT, one has to apply (online) separately to Xavier University, Bhubaneswar.
Section-wise cut-off scores as well as total cut-off scores will be used for short-listingcandidates who will be called for Writing Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview(PI). WAT & PI will be held in Bangalore, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad,Kolkata and Mumbai. Candidates will have to meet their own travel/stay expenses forappearing in the X-GMT (if applicable), WAT & PI. The final selection will be based on the candidate’s performance in the XAT/CAT/GMAT/X-GMT/NMAT and WritingAbility Test & Personal Interview (which factors in the past academic record andrelevant work experience). The selected candidates will be informed by mail by thefirst week of April 2016.There may be separate sets of cut-off marks on the XAT/CAT/GMAT/X-GMT/NMAT score and the WAT & PI score for the candidates who are residents of the stateof Odisha.
Candidates who are selected for admission to the program must indicate their acceptance of the admission offer and all related conditions by paying thefirst instalment of fees as detailed in the letter of admission before the datestipulated therein. The program will begin by the middle of June 2016 for the firstyear students. At this time the students will be given a Manual of Policies andRegulations, which will be binding on them, till the successful completion of theProgram.
